Robert Plant has become quite the collaborator in recent years, from award winning albums with Alison Krauss to live jam sessions with Jack White. His latest collaboration might have a few Led Zeppelin purists turning their heads, though, because on Instagram, renowned DJ, producer and borderline-badman Diplo posted a selfie of he and plant promising “collab coming soon.”
What will that collaboration be? Nobody knows for sure, but it’s not likely you’ll be hearing booty-bass drops on the next Robert Plant and the Sensational Space Shifters. Instead, expect to hear Plant on some new Diplo, maybe Major Lazer. Maybe he’ll re-record a famous Zeppelin line for a song?
Either way, we cautiously can’t wait to hear it.
