Some people get married in churches, others get married on the beach, and if you’re Kacey Musgraves, you tie the knot in an a fairytale outdoor wedding, complete with a white stallion and falling leaves.
Virginia-based radio station X96 seems to have its own ideas about how you should get married. As part of their Winter Meltdown show, they’re offering a total wedding package, giving a couple the chance to say their vows on stage. The station will provide the wedding dress, a tuxedo for the groom, a VIP suite, free food, and an elaborate cake.
The best part: Paramore will perform.
Unfortunately, it seems like the station forgot to tell the band about it, and singer Hayley Williams isn’t thrilled.
why hadn't i heard of this radio contest for ppl to get married on stage while we play? y'all can't let me be bitter about love for 5 min?⛄️

Williams split from longtime partner (and husband) Chad Gilbert this summer, so it makes total sense that she’d be less than stoked about this. Luckily, her BFF — and tour mate —Bethany Cosentino from Best Coast came to the rescue, offering her own proposal.
I forgot to tell you that’s how I’m officially proposing to you…

Because that’s what friends are for.
