Here’s a rundown of the Azealia Banks-Grimes-Elon Musk drama

Azealia Banks: "Literally been sitting at Elon Musks house alone for days waiting for grimes to show up and start these sessions. I have no idea when she is coming back.

Azealia Banks has courted her fair share of high-profile enemies, from Russell Crowe to RuPaul, but the burgeoning feud between her and this year’s weirdest power couple, Grimes and Elon Musk, may be Banks’ strangest saga yet. Grimes and Banks confirmed a collaboration for the rapper’s upcoming album, FantaSea II, only for Banks to be ghosted by Grimes upon her arrival at Casa Musk:

While this situation surely painted several humorous mental images—Azealia Banks passing the time test-driving Teslas, Grimes and Elon hurriedly hopping in a Hyperloop prototype so as to not keep their guest waiting—its lack of context lead one to believe that this strange situation was just that, and Banks would head home, disappointed but ready to pick up her collab at a later date. We forgot that this is Azealia Banks, so of course we were so, so wrong.

Banks elaborated on the situation, comparing her experience to Get Out before further contextualizing on the reason for Grimes’ ghosting of her – which was apparently due to her trip-sitting Musk, who made the ill-advised decision to mix psychedelics and social media:

As if things weren’t already crazy enough, Banks’ story further pivoted from being ditched for drug trips toward her recording with the Canadian songstress being a smokescreen for Grimes and Musk to try and court her into a Tesla Sex Party:

Grimes has remained quiet throughout this drama, but Elon pulled an “Azealia who?” stating to Gizmodo that he has “never even met [Banks] or communicated with her in any way.” There’s no sign as to who’s right and what’s true, but one certainty out of this whole situation is that this whole thing probably isn’t over yet.
