Apparently, it’s possible to be a globally successful, multi-Grammy Award-winning pop star, fashion designer, TV personality, and actress, and still not know how Twitter hashtags work. This has now been officially proven by Gwen Stefani, who had to be talked through how to properly promote singer Julia Michaels for a Best New Artist VMA by songwriter Justin Tranter, and even then just uploaded a photo of their IM conversation instead of just copying and pasting Tranter’s ghostwritten tweet:

I’m not sure how you can have a hard time with posting hashtags but have no problem uploading a photo. Maybe it’s all a secret excuse for Gwen’s to show off that ultra-cutesy Blake Shelton wallpaper? Could Gwen be hiding a full social media hacking deck behind that taskbar? I wouldn’t put it past her. After all, this is the woman who made spelling out the word “bananas” an international hit song.
