Flooding won’t sink Electric Island

A mainland move to Woodbine Park has kept Toronto's premier techno festival going.

August 8, 2019

Heavy spring rain and rising water levels has lead to a flooded Toronto Island leading to a location change for Electric Island, one of the city’s greatest summer music festivals. The change hasn’t put a damper on the party though, which is great news for techno and house music fans alike as the festival pushes forward for its seventh annual year. Taking place in Woodbine Park for it’s midsummer line up, this welcoming outdoor event offers electronic music fans a chance to enjoy some good weather, great music and incredible views of the Toronto skyline all while dancing the day away.

Electric Island is always on top of talent and this year is no exception with international and local DJs alike including Hot Since 82, George FitzGerald, Dusky and more. The team behind E.I.—CODA and the Footwork Family, Embrace, and Platform—have created an incredible event for techno enthusiasts and dance music lovers alike. Check out this weekends talent and look forward to the last great Electric Island long weekend Saturday August 31st & Sunday September 1st.
