Britney Spears is the queen of comebacks. In the past decade, her Vegas residency has made her one of the highest grossing artists in the world and her total revenue last year was 56 million dollars. In recent years, Britney Spears has doubled down on efforts to support and embrace the LGBTQ community, with the singer being recognized for her actions earlier this year by being honoured with the GLAAD Vanguard Award for her outstanding displays of allyship. Spears’ latest bout of activism, announced during her appearance at Brighton, UK’s Pride Parade, is the release of a special Pride edition of her “Fantasy” perfume that will see a portion of its profits go to benefit GLAAD – but it doesn’t seem to be sitting well with some.
Looking forward to celebrating love and equality at @PrideBrighton tomorrow!! To help kick off the celebration, there's a special #Pride Edition of Fantasy available now at @superdrug stores in the UK! pic.twitter.com/GlLpI7sMrD

A Facebook group called “1,000,000 for Marriage Equality” – by “Marriage Equality”, they mean “Straights Only”, and by “1,000,000”, they actually mean “150,000” – recently posted Spears’ announcement with the command “BOYCOTT!!!,” and has since garnered predictably respectful and even-handed comments such as “Do you really expect someone walking in darkness to act differently,” and “I always wondered what mental illness smelled like.” Britney’s response?
Though Spears’ efforts of inclusivity seem to be met with resistance by the narrow-minded, her continued actions to bolster her relationship with the LGBTQ community have been embraced by many. Check out the responses to her Pride perfume announcement are nothing but love:

We still can’t imagine anyone messing with the queen.
