After conquering the music industry, starting a successful clothing line, hosting an annual cruise, and potentially running for the U.S. Senate in 2018, it looks like Kid Rock is taking his “creative interests” in a new direction: the world of culinary dining. His new restaurant, Kid Rock’s Made in Detroit, is set to open in the new Little Caesars Arena in downtown Detroit with sky high aspirations. According to a press release, Kid Rock is setting his goals as high as his career.
“In keeping true with his larger-than-life reputation, he promises to make just as loud of a bang in the restaurant business as he has done with his music.”
While the menu hasn’t been released, the new 5800-square-foot, 230-seat restaurant will be open year round and will feature Detroit and Southern-style comfort food. Kid Rock has his sights set beyond just biscuits and jambalaya; he wants to make soul food of the musical variety. The restaurant is also designed to serve as an incubator for local artists so an eye out for new artists cropping up with the “Made in Detroit” stamp of approval.
