John Mayer defends Justin Bieber after tour cancellation

July 25, 2017

Justin Bieber has been on tour for 18 straight months. John Mayer knows why he needs a break.

Yesterday, Beliebers worldwide were dealt a harsh blow when Justin Bieber announced through his Facebook page that he was canceling the remaining dates of his Purpose tour “due to unforeseen circumstances.” First China, and now the rest of the world will remain Bieberless for the time being.

“Justin loves his fans and hates to disappoint them. He thanks his fans for the incredible experience of the Purpose World Tour over last 18 months,” the statement reads. “However, after careful consideration he has decided he will not be performing any further dates.” There’s no official reason given for the cancellation of the tour, but Bieber told TMZ he plans on “just resting, getting some relaxation.” The Purpose tour began back in March 2016, and the first officially cancelled date will be Arlington, Texas on Saturday. Bieber’s message to his disappointed fans? “I think you guys are awesome. Sorry for anybody who feels disappointed or betrayed. It’s not my heart or anything.” So, rest assured. it’s not his heart.
